Mother's Day Treat

Mother's Day has passed, but we've decided to share you how we celebrated Mom's Day! We went to EDSA Shangri-La and spent the day there, and of course, to reward our dearest mother some relaxation.

Remember what we've told you about cupcakes being a gift? You see, that's what we did. We contemplated on what cupcake to buy in their bakeshop , and decided that we'd give her a Pandan Cupcake. She was taken aback, but completely happy nonetheless.

We checked in our room after we ate cupcakes. Of course, it was beautiful! The room was splashed with different shades of cyan and brown, all wonderful to the eye! We stayed there for a while, absorbing its beauty, and proceeded to their oh-so-gorgeous swimming pool!

Like what we've said before, we have a thing with pools even though we are not that good in swimming. The pool was so inviting, and the water was warm whatever the time was! We swam, of course, and fooled around. Even if we swim almost everyday, we never get tired of it! It's just so fun, okay?

Anyways, we ate dinner in the Summer Palace, a Chinese restaurant, right after we went out of the pool. The food was breathtakingly delicious! We're very fond of Chinese food, you see, especially with their soups, but this one was different. It was perfect, but of course, it was pricey. Not that we regret anything! The meal was surely fantastic!

So basically, that's how we spent Mother's Day. Not that special, but surely memorable. To all mothers out there, we just want to say, "Belated Happy Mother's Day!"

Special THANKS to Ninang Del.

XOXO,

Shayne and Yanni

Summer Paradise

June is just a few days away, and the end of our summer vacation is nearing. Soon, we'd be submerged in the pool of stress once more -- so of course, we'd have to spend  the remaining days of our vacation wisely! Recently, we spent the day in the wondrous Tagaytay Highlands.

The trip there wasn't easy! We had to wake up in an ungodly hour and travel for two hours,
but of course, it was worth it.

The heat of the sun we've grew accustomed to was not felt that much! Plus, the scenery was breathtaking! Shades of green stretching before our eyes! The ambience was great, too! We love swimming, you see, so that's what we did first. The oh-so-amazing pool was so tempting that we spent three hours swimming in it despite the sun rays. We regretted it of course, for the sunburn it caused on us, but well, it was fun! That's what matters!

Monorail experience

After that dip, we proceeded to eat lunch in one of their restaurants. As expected, the food they serve was absolutely delectable, but it did cost a fortune

The trip was surely amazing! The trees and plants that scattered everywhere were relaxing, too, that w'd probably relinquish anything to go back!

The Cupcake Project Part Two

Like what we've said the last time, we had this hunt for cupcake bakeries that could satisfy our hunger for those cute little cupcakes – and guess what? We found another one, and that would be Vanilla Cupcake Bakery! The lovely bakery is located in G/F Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati City  . The place was downright cozy, the ambience was great, and the vivid hues were already treats to the eye! In our opinion, it’s the perfect place for a girls’ day out because of the lovely interior design, but well, it’s a place for everyone! You’ll love the  Shabby Chic interiors. But of course, the colorful walls were no match for the cupcakes they serve.

We have this secret, okay? We have this unfathomable devotion to red velvet cupcakes. Every time we go to cupcake shops, a red velvet cupcake would always be on the top of the list! Deciding what to order is always one of the hardest things to do, but we’ve came up with a decision after a few minutes. We ordered a Red Velvet Cupcake (duh!), a Vanilla Blue Cupcake, and a Strawberry Cheesecake. It was heaven in a bite! Four thumbs up for Vanilla!

Basically, that’s the end of our little cupcake-bakery-hunt, but make sure to comment down your suggestions! Like what we’ve said before, these cupcakes are perfect gifts to everybody – and since Mother’s Day is fast approaching, don’t forget to buy them cupcakes (red velvet would be nice ha-ha)!
